About The Position

The Software Engineering Team Lead will direct a high‑performing group of 5‑15 engineers in designing, building, and operating software solutions that overcome program infrastructure challenges and boost the throughput of the Agile Release Train (ART). You will drive end‑to‑end delivery of Python, Java, and Ansible‑based applications while championing modern DevOps practices—Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing. Operating in an Agile Scrum (SAFe) environment, you’ll coordinate work across multiple projects, ensure strict adherence to the full software development lifecycle, and maintain engineering standards and contractual compliance. Regular interaction with customers will be required to refine requirements, present technical solutions, and keep projects aligned with program objectives, cost, schedule, and risk constraints.

Requirements

  • Active Secret security clearance (U.S. citizen with a valid passport)
  • Software-engineering experience, with a background in full-stack or DevOps development.
  • Active 8140-compliant certification (e.g., Security+, CISSP) or must be able to obtain it within 30 days of starting.
  • Active project-management certification (e.g., Project+, CAPM, PMP) or must be able to obtain it within 60 days of starting.
  • Proven ability to lead engineering teams (5-15 members) and deliver complex technical projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Hands-on development experience in Python, Java, or similar programming languages, with demonstrable expertise in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills; capable of communicating technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders and interfacing directly with customers.

Nice To Haves

  • Top-Secret clearance is a plus.
  • Prior role as Team Lead, Technical Lead, or Product Owner in an Agile setting.
  • Experience defining, tracking, and reporting KPIs and engineering metrics.
  • Quick learner with the ability to evaluate and adopt new technologies.
  • Experience scaling CI/CD pipelines and IaC in enterprise environments.
  • Experience with cloud or hybrid infrastructures (AWS, Azure, etc.).
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools (automated testing, configuration management, containerization).
  • Proven ability to present to senior stakeholders or external customers.
  • Track record of improving team processes, engineering standards, or Agile maturity.
  • Prior experience with C2BMC or similar command-and-control systems.
