About The Position

Salesforce is hiring a Software Engineering SMTS for Qualified’s Product Core team. The team builds foundational systems for identifying prospects, scheduling and routing meetings, synchronizing data with calendars and go-to-market platforms, executing workflows, and supporting enterprise authentication. It also develops public APIs, webhooks, and custom integrations, as well as data, context, and execution capabilities for agentic product experiences such as meeting preparation, routing investigation, and product explainability. The engineer will act as a technical leader, taking complex initiatives from early design through production, shaping architecture and technical direction, writing production code, and supporting other engineers. The role involves end-to-end ownership, including implementation, testing, launch, monitoring, customer issue resolution, and iterative improvement. Salesforce describes the engineering environment as high-ownership and high-velocity, combining startup-like pace with the resources of a global enterprise.

Requirements

  • Track record of independently delivering complex SaaS capabilities from design through launch and ongoing operation.
  • Strong full-stack skills, with particular depth in backend systems, APIs, relational data models, and background processing.
  • Experience building or operating integrations with complex third-party platforms.
  • Sound technical judgment around reliability, data integrity, security, and incremental system evolution.
  • Excellent debugging skills across application, integration, and data boundaries.
  • Demonstrated technical leadership, including influencing architecture and execution beyond the immediate workstream.
  • Comfort operating amid ambiguity, framing problems, proposing solutions, and aligning others.
  • Product-minded approach and care for user experience and customer outcomes.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with modern web frameworks; Rails, React, Postgres, and AWS are mentioned as a plus.
  • Experience with CRM, marketing automation, scheduling, routing, enrichment, or workflow products.
  • Familiarity with OAuth, webhooks, synchronization pipelines, rate-limited APIs, or eventual consistency.
  • Experience with enterprise identity systems such as SSO, SAML, or SCIM.
  • Experience building production AI or LLM applications, agent tooling, or explainability features.

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex product initiatives from an ambiguous problem through technical design, implementation, launch, and ongoing ownership.
  • Build reliable meeting-booking, calendaring, routing, and workflow experiences that affect customer conversion and revenue.
  • Build and evolve integrations with CRM, marketing automation, sales engagement, collaboration, calendaring, and data-enrichment platforms.
  • Build intuitive public APIs and reliable webhooks for customers and partners.
  • Design systems to handle third-party API limits, OAuth credentials, inconsistent data, retries, synchronization, and partial failures.
  • Advance AI-assisted capabilities such as meeting preparation, routing investigation, and explanations of product behavior.
  • Improve the scalability, observability, security, and supportability of critical production systems.
  • Own difficult customer issues and investigate them to their root cause.
  • Provide technical leadership through architecture and execution influence, design and code reviews, and mentorship.
  • Scope, implement, test, deploy, monitor, and iteratively improve product capabilities based on customer feedback.
