SalesforceSan Francisco, CA
$197,300 - $344,700Onsite

About The Position

As a Principal Member of Technical Staff (PMTS) on the FKP team, you will drive the technical direction for designing and implementing software that manages Kubernetes clusters at massive scale. You will lead the creation of complex design documents, present architectural strategy to senior technical and cross-functional audiences, and guide the implementation of solutions across the team. You will play a key role in evaluating and integrating open source technologies into the FKP software stack, and set the technical bar for how these integrations are done. We are developing the next-gen architecture for FKP, and as a PMTS you will be a primary architect of this transformation. You will design and implement distributed systems, control planes, and APIs that operate at planet scale, orchestrating and managing clusters and resources across thousands of clusters and all substrates. You will identify architectural gaps, propose and drive solutions, and mentor other engineers as they build against your designs.
