About The Position

Trimble is seeking a hands-on Software Engineering Manager to lead engineering for its Spectrum platform. The manager will integrate agentic AI frameworks into the platform’s core architecture, drive developer velocity, and mentor an engineering team. The role combines direct technical work in agentic AI, context engineering, and software architecture with team leadership and talent development. It also involves turning prototypes into production-ready solutions and aligning engineering strategy with business objectives.

Requirements

• Experience leading software engineering teams, including hiring, coaching, performance management, and career development in agile environments.
• Strong object-oriented programming background, with deep proficiency in C#/.NET and modern JavaScript frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue.
• Hands-on expertise deploying agentic AI tools across planning, development, and delivery in enterprise environments.
• Experience with relational databases, SQL, API development, ETL workflows, and modern CI/CD practices.
• Ability to balance hands-on technical execution with people leadership while practicing ethical AI principles.

Nice To Haves

• Experience implementing agentic RAG and multi-agent orchestration architectures within legacy enterprise systems.
• Background modernizing high-scale SaaS or ERP platforms in the construction or industrial technology space.

Responsibilities

• Lead deployment of agentic AI coding tools, context engineering, and multi-agent orchestration patterns throughout the product development life cycle.
• Architect shared infrastructure, evaluation tooling, and CI/CD pipelines to improve code quality, security, and developer velocity.
• Review AI-generated output, establish system guardrails, and develop local prototypes into production-grade platform solutions.
• Hire, coach, manage performance, mentor, and support career development for engineers.
• Build and foster a thriving engineering pod culture.
• Collaborate with product, security, and enterprise data teams to align engineering strategy with business objectives.
