About The Position

We are seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead a cross-functional team of software engineers and contractors. This role involves direct mentorship, career growth management, performance evaluation, and resource allocation. The manager will be responsible for the entire delivery lifecycle of OS features, ensuring timely execution while prioritizing safety and risk management. A key aspect of this role is serving as the primary technical liaison with external customers and internal stakeholders, translating their needs into structured software requirements. Additionally, the role requires a deep understanding of aerospace and safety-critical technical standards, translating complex certification requirements into actionable engineering tasks.

Requirements

7+ years in software engineering, with at least 3 years in a management role.
Ability to translate complex technical hurdles into clear project status updates for stakeholders.
Deep expertise in SCRUM/Agile, with experience in environments where "breaking things" is not an option.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field preferred.
Must be a US Citizen.

Nice To Haves

Exposure to safety-critical development processes (DO-178C, ISO 26262).
Experience developing systems-level software, including virtualization, OS kernels, or hypervisors for x86/ARM.
