About The Position

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Manager to lead a Ground Software & SW Infrastructure Agile Product team supporting multiple OPIR (Overhead Persistent Infrared) programs. This role is part of the Missile Warning and NGG Ground OPIR programs, providing next generation ground systems with an open architecture/open framework to offer flexibility in a rapidly changing environment. The Manager will lead a SAFE Agile Product team of 15-20 individual contributors focused on the design, development, and testing of a combined hardware/software solution for operational delivery. The successful candidate will be a passionate leader who embraces modern development practices, is a self-starter, adapts to new tools/processes, introduces automation, communicates well, and enjoys a collaborative environment. This is a SR CAREER (level 5) ROLE.

Requirements

  • Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance
  • Experience with Agile methodology or Lean thinking
  • Experience with software development programs
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and behaviors that align with the Full Spectrum Leadership Imperatives
  • Technical team leadership experience
  • Strong project management ability; consistently delivers multi-disciplinary, high risk programs on schedule and within budget
  • Must have an active secret clearance
  • Must be a US Citizen for consideration

Responsibilities

  • Lead a SAFE Agile Product team of 15-20 individual contributors in support of product team execution whose primary focus is on the design, development, and testing of a combined hardware/software solution for operational delivery.
  • Assist the existing leadership team with vetting, hiring, staffing and building strong teams.
  • Embrace modern development practices and insist that others do as well.
  • Be a self-starting leader, adapting to new tools/processes and will be eager to introduce automation when necessary.
  • Communicate well and enjoy working with others in a collaborative environment.
