Essential Responsibilities: The Software Engineering Manager will write testable, readable, and maintainable backend applications for Payments Platform. Write and refactor scalable and secure backend code, ensuring high availability and performance. Conduct daily scrums with backend team to breakdown tasks, plan deliverables, and deliver on time products to customers. Drive significant technical initiates and software development processes with Front-end, Quality Assurance, and Product teams. Improve and maintain Spend Management’s accounting features and integrations. Generate and document technical diagrams to communicate design options and trade-offs to educate development teams and other stakeholders. Conduct code reviews to promote code quality and ensure adherence to Agile software development lifecycle methodology. Provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers. Position may allow working from home within commuting distance of worksite location. Multiple positions. Basic Qualifications: Requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or Computer Science plus 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience as a Java developer, software developer, or related. Required Skills/Experience: Requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or Computer Science plus 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience as a Java developer, software developer, or related. Must possess 5 years of experience with each of the following: (a) designing and developing computer software applications using Java J2EE (JSP, Servlets, EJB, JMS, JDBC) and object relational mapping; (b) adhering to Spring and Hibernate development frameworks; (c) databasing using Oracle, SQL Server and MySQL; (d) working on various tiers of the application from User Interface to business logic; (e) executing testing responsibilities on unit tests, system testing, and user acceptance testing; and (f) developing applications in accordance with Agile software development lifecycle methodology. Position may allow working from home within commuting distance of worksite location. Base pay range may vary if an offer is made for work in a different location . Pay Range: $ 129,042 - $ 176,100 .
