About The Position

Brady Corporation is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead a team of software engineers in its Applications Engineering team. The team is responsible for customer-facing software customizations and applications, as well as internal manufacturing and developer support software. Success in this role involves applying expertise in software design, project management, and mentorship to guide the team throughout the development process.

Responsibilities

• Develop project requirements and resource plans to meet market requirements for custom software solutions.
• Support existing customers and installations for custom software solutions by addressing defects and adding customer-identified features.
• Coach and mentor software engineers, including providing career development planning and opportunities.
• Provide technical expertise and contribute to the design and development of custom software solutions and manufacturing support software.
• Participate in pull requests and code reviews to ensure architectural integrity and sound design principles throughout the codebase.
• Collaborate with desktop, mobile software, and firmware teams to ensure seamless integration and manage interdependencies.
• Work with manufacturing and test teams to define requirements for manufacturing and production support software.
