About The Position

We are seeking an Engineering Manager for our Nextest division to lead a software development team focused on delivering high-quality solutions for digital instruments on Teradyne’s flagship platforms. This role is responsible for guiding the design, implementation, testing, and delivery of software while ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs. The Engineering Manager will partner closely with stakeholders to drive execution, remove blockers, and ensure timely delivery of critical projects.

Requirements

  • BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
  • 1–3 years of functional management experience with demonstrated performance and retention success.
  • Experience in software development within semiconductor test or ATE environments.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented design principles and delivering high-quality software releases.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with hardware engineers and FPGA developers.
  • Proficiency in software development tools such as C/C++ and MS Visual Studio.
  • Proven experience delivering customer-facing products into production environments.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to resolve cross-team conflicts.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability to motivate, mentor, and guide engineering teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead milestone-based development schedules to ensure high-quality software delivery within time and budget.
  • Develop functional specifications and design documentation aligned with system and product requirements.
  • Collaborate with technical subject matter experts to define and refine software requirements for new features.
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships to drive progress on time-critical projects.
  • Support execution by monitoring progress, resolving issues, and reporting status to leadership.
  • Partner with stakeholders to unblock challenges and align on delivery strategies.
  • Mentor and develop engineers through coaching, feedback, and career growth opportunities.
  • Ensure strong technical knowledge of ATE systems to effectively address customer-impacting issues.
