Software Engineering LMTS

Salesforce•San Francisco, CA

About The Position

Salesforce’s Qualified Product Core team builds foundational product systems that support prospect identification, meeting scheduling and routing, data synchronization with calendars and go-to-market platforms, workflow execution, and enterprise authentication. The team also enables customer and partner extensions through public APIs, webhooks, and custom integrations, and builds data, context, and execution capabilities for agentic product experiences such as meeting preparation, routing investigation, and product explainability. The engineer will act as a technical leader, driving complex initiatives from early design through production. The role shapes architecture and technical direction, delivers substantial production code, and helps other engineers succeed. Engineers have end-to-end ownership—including scoping, implementation, testing, deployment, monitoring, and improvement based on customer feedback—in a high-ownership environment that combines startup pace with Salesforce’s resources.

Requirements

  • Track record of independently delivering complex SaaS capabilities from design through launch and ongoing operation.
  • Strong full-stack skills, particularly depth in backend systems, APIs, relational data models, and background processing.
  • Experience building or operating integrations with complex third-party platforms.
  • Sound technical judgment regarding reliability, data integrity, security, and incremental system evolution.
  • Excellent debugging skills across application, integration, and data boundaries.
  • Demonstrated technical leadership, including influencing architecture and execution beyond one’s immediate workstream.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguous situations, framing problems, proposing solutions, and aligning others.
  • Product-mindedness and concern for user experience and customer outcomes.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with modern web frameworks; Rails, React, Postgres, or AWS experience is a plus.
  • Experience with CRM, marketing automation, scheduling, routing, enrichment, or workflow products.
  • Familiarity with OAuth, webhooks, synchronization pipelines, rate-limited APIs, or eventual consistency.
  • Experience with enterprise identity systems such as SSO, SAML, or SCIM.
  • Experience building production AI or LLM applications, agent tooling, or explainability features.

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex product initiatives from ambiguous problem definition through technical design, implementation, launch, and ongoing ownership.
  • Build reliable meeting-booking, calendaring, routing, and workflow experiences that affect customer conversion and revenue.
  • Build and evolve integrations with CRM, marketing automation, sales engagement, collaboration, calendaring, and data-enrichment platforms.
  • Build intuitive public APIs and reliable webhooks for customers and partners.
  • Design for third-party system constraints, including API limits, OAuth credentials, inconsistent data, retries, synchronization, and partial failures.
  • Advance AI-assisted capabilities, including meeting preparation, routing investigation, and explanations of product behavior.
  • Improve the scalability, observability, security, and supportability of critical production systems.
  • Own difficult customer issues and investigate them to their root cause.
  • Provide technical leadership through design and code reviews, and mentor other engineers.
  • Scope, implement, test, deploy, monitor, and iteratively improve product systems based on customer feedback.
