  • Exposure to EO/IR test and evaluation instruments.
  • Familiarity with AI/Machine Learning concepts and their practical application to automation and targeting software in remote weapon systems.

Responsibilities

  • Guide the design, development, and integration of software solutions for Remote Weapon Systems as the software team's technical authority.
  • Mentor and coach engineers and build a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
  • Manage, prioritize, and assign engineering tasks across concurrent programs to optimize team capacity and meet project milestones.
  • Foster ownership and accountability for product quality, reliability, and on-time delivery.
  • Maintain engineering schedules, conduct design reviews, and ensure deliverables meet aerospace and defense quality standards.
  • Partner with systems, electrical, and mechanical engineering leads to integrate software into weapon platform architectures.
  • Support cross-functional software integration with RWS systems and travel as needed for customer reviews, field integration, and live-fire test operations.
