About The Position

Vooma is building a co-pilot for the logistics industry, aiming to dramatically improve its efficiency. The company's mission is to automate processes within the $800B trucking industry, with the initial product focusing on automating order taking from shippers. This product allows users to forward emails, and the load is automatically built in seconds, addressing the current manual and inefficient methods. Vooma leverages the latest advancements in large language models (LLMs), computer vision, and natural language processing to transform freight shipping. The tech stack includes Next.js, GraphQL, and AWS cloud infrastructure, with primary coding languages being Python and TypeScript. The role involves designing and running experiments to improve AI performance, deploying cloud infrastructure for scalability, and developing new frontend components to enhance user experience.

Requirements

• Talented developer with an appetite for working at a startup.
• Fluent in Python or TypeScript.
• Experience writing and shipping code in a production environment.
• Eager to wear multiple hats, lead new initiatives, learn new technologies, and get it done.
• Helped build and scale a web-based product.
• Designed, iterated, and scaled web-based user experiences.
• Contributed to UI and product design cycles.
• Worked extensively with Large Language Models.
• Deployed an ML product or feature in the wild.
• Cloud infrastructure platforms: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Frontend frameworks: Next.js, React, Tailwind.
• Backend development: GraphQL, TypeORM, PostgreSQL.
• Building products with deep neural networks, including data and training infrastructure.

Nice To Haves

• Infrastructure as Code experience is an asset.

• Design and implement user experiences that leverage the power of the latest AI.
• Build automation pipelines, along with the data and processing infrastructure to scale with our customers.
• Work with customers across logistics to understand their needs and design the tools that enable the workflows of the future.
