About The Position
Join Apple’s Cellular and Connectivity Technologies team to work with engineers and cross-functional teams developing cellular technologies for Apple products. The Cellular Software team is seeking motivated interns to work across software layers on cellular technologies that address customer needs across iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, and other wireless product lines. The team develops and improves cellular protocol software, including data path, SIM, NAS, AS, and iOS interfaces, with the goal of improving connectivity and user experience worldwide. The role involves identifying and developing cellular technologies, debugging embedded systems, and contributing to software solutions in a fast-paced environment. Requirements
- Pursuing a master’s degree or PhD, preferably in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Wireless Communication, or equivalent experience.
- Strong software engineering skills in C or C++.
- Good understanding of embedded real-time operating system concepts.
- Passion and curiosity focused on solving everyday problems in innovative ways.
- Attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and excellent communication and documentation skills.
Nice To Haves
- Understanding of 5G NR and LTE technologies.
- Scripting skills in Python or Perl.
Responsibilities
- Identify and/or develop core cellular technologies to solve everyday customer problems.
- Work across layers of cellular protocol software, including data path, SIM, NAS, AS, and iOS interfaces.
- Debug embedded system issues.
