About The Position

This is an onsite summer 2027 internship for a returning RTX intern, based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The intern assists with engineering processes, testing and research related to avionics hardware and software. The role provides exposure to software and hardware standards, the software product life cycle, and the processes used to develop high-quality products. Applicants must be U.S. Persons; no security clearance is required.

Requirements

Be pursuing a bachelor’s or advanced degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and remain actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
Have a minimum of 60 credit hours by the start of the internship/co-op session.
Be a U.S. Person, as defined in the job posting.

Prior RTX internship, co-op, or work experience.

Responsibilities

Assist in conducting engineering processes and standard work, including verification and qualification procedures.
Create, compile, and consolidate testing on diagnostic systems containing logical and mathematical solutions.
Assist with disciplinary research on one or more stages of the equipment design phase to develop design options and recommendations.
Learn hardware and software standards and ensure work products adhere to those standards and the organization’s business objectives.
