Requirements

  • Must be enrolled in school and be taking at least 9 credits to apply for this position.
  • Candidates who are in their sophomore year.
  • At least 1 to 2 years actively pursuing a BS in Computer Science.
  • Proficient with C#, REST, Git software development.
  • UI skills like React.js and Angular will also help.
  • Have strong communication skills and the ability to work within a team.
  • Energetic and Driven type attitude, to do what it takes to get the task completed.
  • Good organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledgeable in the use of personal computers and the appropriate applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Working with product managers, software developers, and testers to validate the product we are providing to our customers that meets their expectations.
  • Gaining experience as a software developer / test engineer, working with PC’s, servers, and our Johnson Control devices to validate that the product works.
  • Work part time while going to school for up to 8 to 16 hours per week, or 40 hours per week in the summertime.
  • Acquire a basic working knowledge of Johnson Control products and the competitive environment in which we perform.
  • Working with a team of software engineers to design, implement, and enhance software components, including integration with hardware systems.
  • Be enthusiastic, self-motivator, and fast learner.
  • Be aware of and adhere to the corporate and departmental policies and procedures, especially those pertaining to standards of business conduct.
