About The Position

Integral Ad Science (IAS) is a global technology and data company that builds verification, optimization, and analytics solutions for the advertising industry. We’re looking for a Software Engineering Intern to join our Developer Experience team. As a Software Engineering Intern for the DevEx Platform, you’ll be part of the team building software and implementing best practices to remove pain points, connect and make legible complex systems, and speed up the development process. You’ll write code and work alongside senior engineers responsible for tooling and infrastructure. This is a full-time, 10-week internship running from June 15 to August 21, 2026. The pay is $30/hour.

Requirements

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in C.S. or related engineering discipline
Coding experience in Typescript, Python, or similar
Ability to collaborate as part of a remote team
Passion for technology, intellectual curiosity and desire to learn and grow
Desire to improve the everyday work of other developers
Familiarity with working in a cloud environment
Experience using Version Control Systems like Git

Nice To Haves

Our internal tooling code is mostly Groovy, shell scripts, and Python

Responsibilities

Develop features and write integrations for our internal developer portal, built on the Backstage framework
Work on an internal Slack bot, bringing back much-loved features from a former iteration (and potentially, extending them into the future)
Write code mostly in Typescript (React), with some Python
Work with Redis, Helm, Kubernetes, and AWS
Gain experience developing, debugging and testing features both locally and in cloud-based environments
Have ownership of assigned tasks and projects, evaluate alternatives, proactively tackle problems, and suggest resolutions.
