About The Position

RTX is offering an internship opportunity for Software Engineering roles. Interns will work on complex problems, advance their skills, and contribute to creating a safer, more connected world. This role is focused on performing software development within an Agile Software Development group, designing and developing high-performance software in C++ and/or Java. The position is a 1st shift, 100% on-site role based in Westford, MA. Interns will gain experience working with a high-performance agile team, build high-quality software, and deepen their C++, Java, and/or AI/ML development skills, with exposure to real-world military applications of AI/ML.

Requirements

• Experience developing software in C++ and/or Java.
• Experience training AI/ML models and/or integrating AI / ML models into application software.
• Must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM), such as Computer Science, and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship session.
• Experience may be obtained through on‑the‑job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with a team of developers.
• Experience with Docker or Kubernetes.
• Experience with web development.
• Experience with performance measurement and tuning.
