About The Position
The Software Engineering Intern – Summer 2027 role offers college students hands-on experience developing cloud-based applications in a collaborative Agile environment. Interns contribute to real-world projects using technologies such as C#, Java, ReactJS, and cloud platforms while learning software design and development best practices. The internship provides the opportunity to apply academic knowledge, develop professional skills, and contribute to business objectives through practical, challenging, and meaningful on-the-job work.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or an Engineering field.
- GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Nice To Haves
- Proficiency with C# or Java for backend development.
- Proficiency with ReactJS and JavaScript for user interface development.
- Solid understanding of object-oriented design (OOD) and object-oriented analysis (OOA).
- Familiarity with software engineering principles, the software development life cycle (SDLC), and cloud-based architecture.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with comfort working in a team-based environment.
- Prior internship experience.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop cloud-based software applications and components using modern programming languages and frameworks.
- Participate in an Agile/Scrum development environment, contributing to sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Analyze software requirements and develop solutions that meet business and technical needs.
- Perform code reviews, requirement analysis, and system risk assessments to ensure software quality and maintainability.
- Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies and tools to enhance team productivity and system performance.
- Contribute to front-end development using ReactJS and back-end development using C# or Java, depending on skills and interests.
