Software Engineering Intern

About The Position

This internship offers the opportunity to understand and modify applications using various technologies including Linux, Windows, Java, React, CSS, and Python. Interns will gain experience in understanding, creating, and modifying software and test documentation, as well as supporting development, evaluation, system/software integration, and testing. The role involves supporting unit testing and system/software integration testing, including the development of test plans and procedures. A key aspect of this role is ensuring the on-time delivery of high-quality software products with attention to detail. Software development will be conducted within an Agile Scrum environment, adhering to software engineering standards and utilizing common development tools.

Requirements

Pursuing a BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or closely related field
Object-oriented programming experience in C++ and/or Java
Familiar with Integrated Development Environments such as Eclipse, and tools such as Jira, Bamboo and Git
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Effective written and verbal skills
Able to work and thrive in both individual and team coding environments with mentors

Nice To Haves

Experience with development under UNIX- or Linux-based systems is a plus
Experience in web development, and/or databases is a plus

Responsibilities
