•$40 - $45

About The Position

Tessera Labs is hiring a Full Stack Software Engineering Intern to help build Tessera Mosaic, a product where AI agents work alongside people to transform enterprise operations. The intern will contribute to product problems end to end, spanning interfaces for understanding and controlling agents as well as the data and backend systems that power them. The role offers ownership over product and implementation decisions and can focus on frontend, backend, or both. The intern will work closely with product and design to turn ambiguous problems into polished products. The position is based in San Jose, California, New York, or remotely within the United States. The internship lasts 10–12 weeks, with up to 40 hours per week, and may start in Fall 2026, Spring 2027, or Summer 2027, with flexible timing.

Requirements

  • Experience building software through class projects, side projects, or a previous internship; any programming language is acceptable.
  • Strong product sense and consideration for the people using the software being built.
  • Ability to learn quickly and make progress on problems without detailed direction.
  • Some comfort with data, such as SQL and understanding how tables relate to one another.
  • Willingness to learn whatever a feature requires, from the database to the user interface.
  • Ability to explain thinking clearly and ask questions early.
  • Proactively ask for help when blocked and communicate openly about challenges.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience building something with large language models or AI agents.
  • Familiarity with React, TypeScript, or Python.

Responsibilities

  • Build product features using React and TypeScript on the frontend and/or Python on the backend, including APIs, data models, and services.
  • Take problems from an initial or ambiguous starting point through investigation, proposing an approach, implementation, and shipping.
  • Build tools that help users understand and control AI agents, including viewing agent activity, reviewing work, and intervening when needed.
  • Work with data from systems such as SAP, Salesforce, and Oracle, including complex data models and real-world edge cases.
  • Partner with product and design to question assumptions, shape solutions, get feedback early, and iterate.
