About The Position

Allegion's Global Software Solutions team is seeking a Software Engineering Intern - DevOps to learn how to deploy, secure, and monitor cloud-based applications and infrastructure. This role involves working alongside experienced DevOps engineers in an Agile environment, gaining hands-on experience with Azure, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tooling, with mentorship provided throughout the internship. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States, and the company will not provide sponsorship for employment visa status.

Requirements

Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
Coursework or project experience with a scripting or programming language such as PowerShell, Python, or Unix shell scripting.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Self-motivated, curious, and comfortable working in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

Foundational understanding of cloud computing concepts, Microsoft Azure preferred.
Basic understanding of version control (e.g., Git) and CI/CD concepts.

Responsibilities

Support development teams in deploying, monitoring, and troubleshooting application releases across Azure environments.
Help build and maintain automation scripts and CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps, PowerShell, and Terraform.
Assist in monitoring uptime, performance, and other operational metrics, and help drive open issues to resolution.
Partner with IT, Information Security, and Product Engineering teams on assigned projects.
Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to team DevOps initiatives.
Explore new cloud technologies alongside a mentor and share learnings with the team.
