Software Engineering Intern, Android (Summer 2027)
About The Position
Robinhood is seeking talented and motivated Android Engineers to join their award-winning team and help expand Robinhood's mobile experience. As a Software Engineering Intern, Android, you will own meaningful work end-to-end, contributing to new features, shaping the Android platform, and building products that change how America views finance. You will be embedded on a real team, partnering directly with experienced engineers and the design team to ship software that millions of people use every day. This role is based in their Menlo Park, CA or New York, NY office(s), with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week. Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a full-time, degree-seeking program with an expected graduation date of Winter 2027 or Spring 2028
- A solid foundation in software engineering
- An interest in front-end work, specifically visually driven product design and shaping user experience
- Familiarity with Android components and experience building or contributing to at least one Android app
- Experience building, maintaining, or contributing to open-source projects
- Familiarity with Kotlin, RxJava 2, Dagger 2, and other libraries in our tech stack
- A self-starter mentality and a proactive approach
Responsibilities
- Partner with a dedicated mentor who will guide you from onboarding through shipping, deepening your understanding of our tech stack and financial domain along the way
- Collaborate with our award-winning design team throughout the full product lifecycle
- Contribute to new features and help build products that will change how America views finance
- Explore and build innovative Android UI/UX
- Work with technologies such as Kotlin, RxJava 2, Retrofit/OkHttp, Dagger 2, and Room
