•$102,100 - $219,200

About The Position

The AI Frameworks team at Microsoft develops AI software for training and deploying advanced AI models, including software for Microsoft’s next-generation supercomputers and Maia-200 AI accelerator. The interdisciplinary team works across AI, compiler engineering, systems software, and high-performance computing, collaborating with hardware architects, platform engineers, researchers, and ML developers, and participating in the open-source community. The Software Engineer II - AI Compiler Engineer will join the Maia Code-gen team and work on mechanisms for building and deploying application code to Microsoft AI accelerator devices. The role includes analyzing and modifying code through the LLVM IR API, implementing dynamic code-generation and JIT-compilation features, and developing system and runtime components for dynamic-code deployment. This is a hands-on technical position focused on solving complex engineering problems and contributing to an end-to-end AI software stack.
