Our Software Engineering Development Program (SEDP) is a one-year rotational experience tailored for emerging engineers looking to build a versatile skill set. You’ll gain hands-on experience across multiple engineering teams, explore emerging technologies, work directly with mentors who are invested in your success, and solve real-world problems for small businesses. By the time you move into your permanent role at the end of the rotation, you’ll have the skills, confidence, and broad technical foundation to thrive as a well-rounded engineer. This is a hybrid position based out of our Waltham, MA office with a target start of July 2027

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree by May/June 2027 in computer science or similar discipline, or will have equivalent relevant industry experience.
  • New to the field of software engineering
  • Excited to learn and experience web technologies at scale

Responsibilities

  • Rotate through four different teams getting broad experience in areas like frontend, backend, DevOps, etc.
  • Work on a variety of projects across several teams.
  • Work with your SEDP cohort on a capstone project for an entire quarter to conclude the program - design, build, test, implement, and launch a customer-facing feature that will be released into production
  • Participate in customized technical and soft-skills training throughout the year
  • Use existing and emerging technologies such as Java, ReactJS, AWS, Kubernetes, and Ruby - in a CI/CD environment
  • Make an immediate impact by writing production code with the help and support of experienced software engineers on each team
  • Develop web applications at scale -- used by hundreds of thousands of customers
  • Gain guidance from a variety of mentors and managers who will support you throughout the program
