About The Position
Saab is seeking a Software Co-Op for their East Syracuse, NY office for the Spring-Summer 2027 term (January - August 2027). The co-op will work alongside the System Engineering Team and other Software Engineers to improve tools used within the FAA. This role is ideal for someone interested in all aspects of the software development life cycle.
Requirements
- Enrollment in an accredited degree program, with a major in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better.
- United States Citizenship.
- Must have completed Sophomore year or greater.
- Object-Oriented Design and Programming with Java and JavaScript.
- Experience working with Unix-based systems (Linux).
- Experience with HTML and other web/mobile development technologies.
- Must be able to work in a dynamic team environment.
Nice To Haves
- Relational Database experience (SQL).
- Familiarity with software version control systems (e.g. GIT, Subversion).
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
