About The Position

Lockheed Martin Space is seeking an Associate Manager to lead a Ground Software Agile Product team supporting multiple OPIR (Overhead Persistent Infrared) programs. This role is part of the OPIR ground segment program, which will provide the next generation ground system – an open architecture/open framework system that will provide the customer with the flexibility to meet the demands of a rapidly changing environment. The Associate Manager will lead a SAFE Agile Product team of 15-20 individual contributors focused on the design, development, and testing of a combined hardware/software solution for operational delivery. They will also assist the existing leadership team with vetting, hiring, staffing, and building strong teams. The ideal candidate is a passionate leader who embraces modern development practices, insists on their use by others, is a self-starter, adapts to new tools/processes, and introduces automation when necessary. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential. This is a MID-SR CAREER (level 4) ROLE requiring typically 5+ years of professional experience and a BS degree.

Requirements

  • Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance
  • Experience with Agile methodology or Lean thinking
  • Experience with software development programs
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and behaviors that align with the Full Spectrum Leadership Imperatives
  • Technical team leadership experience
  • Strong project management ability; consistently delivers multi-disciplinary, high risk programs on schedule and within budget
  • Must have an active secret clearance
  • Must be a US Citizen for consideration
