About The Position

We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our team in Huntsville, AL. This is a full-time, on-site position requiring an active U.S. Government DoD Secret clearance. The role involves C++ development, unit and system test development, and potentially working with other programming languages like C, Go, Ada, and Python. Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills are essential. The ability to travel up to 10% is also required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university with five to ten years of experience, or a master's degree with no required years of experience.
• Demonstrated C++ development experience.
• Experience with unit test and system test development.
• Experience with C, Go, Ada, and/or Python.
• Ability to read and understand other programming languages.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to think critically and capture concepts in work products, presentations, and discussions.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 10 percent of the time.
• Ability to work on site in an office environment.
• Current active in-scope U.S. Government DoD Secret clearance required at application and to start.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with simulation and simulation frameworks.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket.
• Experience with Bamboo, Jenkins, Fortify, Coverity, and SQL databases.
• Knowledge of Ground-based Midcourse Defense.
• Experience with containers and container development.
