About The Position

Radiance Technologies is seeking a talented Software Engineer/Developer to join their team supporting the Joint Electromagnetic Warfare Center (JEWC). The role involves working with a diverse team of software engineers, data scientists, and analysts to integrate semantic web technologies into a SaaS portal. This integration will enable advanced data querying, relationship mapping, and knowledge graph construction. The position requires demonstrated expertise in SPARQL query development and graph database technologies (e.g., RDF, OWL, or similar). Regular progress updates and rigorous testing documentation will be required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related STEM field.
  • Expertise in Semantic Web Technologies.
  • SPARQL query development.
  • Resource Description Framework (RDF).
  • Ontology Web Language (OWL).
  • Experience constructing and querying knowledge graphs.
  • Graph Database experience.
  • Hands-on experience with graph databases (e.g. GraphDB, Stardog, Neo4j with RDF plugins, or similar triple stores).
  • Proficiency in software languages used with semantic web tools (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript, C#).
  • Data Integration and ETL experience.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • U.S. citizenship.
  • Active TS Clearance with ability to receive SCI.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in software engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience with software development lifecycle and methodologies.
  • Prior experience in SPARQL query development and graph database technologies (e.g., RDF, OWL, or similar).
  • Prior experience supporting the integration of semantic web technologies into the SaaS portal, enabling advanced data querying, relationship mapping, and knowledge graph construction.
  • Familiarity with software ontology and triple-store databases.
  • Familiarity with building HTTP-based web services using a framework such as JavaScript, Java Spring Boot, etc.
  • Familiarity with source management repositories such as: Git (GitLab, GitHub, or bare Git), Apache Subversion, or BitBucket.

Nice To Haves

  • Active TS/SCI clearance.
  • Experience supporting Department of Defense or Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (EMSO) programs.
  • Familiarity with secure software development practices.
  • Familiarity with data description languages such as: XML, YAML, JSON, and JSON-LD for data exchange, configuration, or API integration.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with government stakeholders to meet technical and operational objectives.
  • Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle using Agile or other industry standard methodologies.
  • Support the integration of semantic web technologies into the SaaS portal, enabling advanced data querying, relationship mapping, and knowledge graph construction.
  • Develop SPARQL query development and graph database technologies.
  • Construct and query knowledge graphs.
  • Ingest, transform, and link disparate data sources into graph structures.
  • Develop data pipelines that support semantic enrichment and ontology-driven modeling.
  • Build HTTP-based web services.
  • Utilize source management repositories.
