About The Position

The Software Engineer will deliver technically complex solutions, perform system integration support for all project work, and consult and partner with business product owners to understand end goals and offer solutions and recommendations during the design phase. This role involves developing customized coding, software integration, performing analysis, and configuring solutions using project-specific tools. The engineer will lead and participate in the development, testing, implementation, maintenance, and support of highly complex solutions, adhering to company standards and including robust unit testing and support for subsequent release testing. Responsibilities also include building non-functional monitoring capabilities, providing escalated support for complex applications in production, and building and maintaining security controls and monitoring in support of company standards. The role typically involves leading moderately complex projects and participating in larger, more complex initiatives, solving complex technical and operational problems, and acting as a resource for less experienced teammates. In an Agile environment, the engineer is responsible for delivering high-quality working software, automating manual/reusable tasks, engaging with the business from the beginning of design work, leveraging continuous engineering practices, refining user stories, developing and maintaining automated unit testing, supporting integration and functional testing, providing automated monitoring capabilities, warranty support, and knowledge transfer to production support, and developing code in accordance with acceptance criteria.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related discipline and three to five years of experience or equivalent education and software engineering training or experience
  • Must have experience in C#.NET, SQL Server and Azure
  • In-depth knowledge in information systems and ability to identify, apply, and implement IT best practices
  • Understanding of key business processes and competitive strategies related to the IT function
  • Ability to plan and manage projects and solve complex problems by applying best practices
  • Ability to provide direction and mentor less experienced teammates.
  • Ability to interpret and convey complex, difficult, or sensitive information.

Responsibilities

  • Develop customized coding, software integration, perform analysis, configure solutions, using tools specific to the project or the area.
  • Lead and participate in the development, testing, implementation, maintenance, and support of highly complex solutions in adherence to company standards, including robust unit testing and support for subsequent release testing.
  • Build non-functional monitoring capabilities and provide escalated support for highly complex applications in production.
  • Build in and maintain security controls and monitoring in support of company standards.

  • Solve complex technical and operational problems. Act as a resource for teammates with less experience.
  • May oversee the work of a small team.

  • Develop code in accordance with the acceptance criteria established by the Product Owner.
