About The Position
Acuity, Inc. seeks dynamic, self-motivated individuals with experience as a Software Engineer supporting a backend development team focused on middleware and backend services. This role involves using expertise in IT Modernization, Data Enablement, and Hyperautomation to support federal agencies. The firm combines industry partnerships and long-term federal experience with innovative technical leadership to support customer missions.
Requirements
- Intermediate to Expert level experience in Solr or Elastic Search (minimum 3 years).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a big data environment using tools such as Hadoop, Pyspark, Spark, and Hbase (prefer at least two of the list).
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on, back-end Java development experience (not Javascript or Springboot).
- College degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical degree.
- TS/SCI w/Poly clearance.
Nice To Haves
- Demonstrated experience working with several AWS services.
- Demonstrated experience with JIRA and GITHUB.
Responsibilities
- Performing schema updates.
- Submitting Lucene queries.
- Understanding how Solr/Elastic shards work.
- Tuning Solr/Elastic for performance and query optimization.
- Implementing code that undergoes code reviews, unit testing, integration testing and deployed to a production environment.
