About The Position

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will lead the delivery of scalable software solutions by managing feature implementation, testing, and ongoing support within collaborative teams. You will contribute to solution design, technical leadership, and stakeholder collaboration to ensure alignment with business objectives. The International Personalization platform team develops a scalable multi-tenant framework delivering personalized experiences across Walmart International sites, including Mexico and Canada. This team drives innovation by integrating advanced machine learning to enhance customer engagement and business outcomes. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will lead small engineering groups, translating requirements into efficient, maintainable solutions. Requirements

  • Proven expertise in object-oriented programming and documentation-based coding practices.
  • Strong technical acumen with experience in code review, debugging, and continuous development.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver scoped features or models through iterative and incremental development.
  • Experience integrating AI/ML components and leveraging generative AI tools to enhance software solutions.
  • Proficiency in designing scalable, secure, and maintainable software aligned with platform objectives.
  • Skilled in full software development lifecycle, including CI/CD, automated testing, and observability.
  • Effective collaboration and communication skills to engage cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Commitment to engineering excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 3 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
  • OR 5 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area and 1 year's experience in software engineering or related area.
  • Background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly.

Responsibilities

  • Own scoped feature and model delivery through collaborative engineering teams, managing implementation, iteration, testing, and support.
  • Write clean, efficient, and reliable code across multiple languages, driving full software development lifecycle including CI/CD and automated testing.
  • Integrate AI and ML components to enhance software intelligence and leverage generative AI tools to improve development velocity.
  • Assist in converting high-level designs into detailed, scalable, and maintainable solutions aligned with platform standards.
  • Engage stakeholders to define technical requirements and success metrics, ensuring solutions meet user and business needs.
  • Monitor application performance and maintain system reliability through proactive testing and continuous integration.
