This position will be located in our headquarters in Columbus, Ohio.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience on a Linux-based DevOps team working in private and public clouds.
  • Hands-on experience building and supporting enterprise applications with automated builds, deployments, and operating domains using Jenkins, Ansible, CDK, TypeScript in public and private cloud environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail. Ability to make independent decisions involving setting priorities and evaluating results
  • Ability to work with urgency while remaining calm and focused when resolving issues. Manage multiple deadlines and priorities – able to multi-task.
  • Willingness to participate in pair programming when needed.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and a willingness to engage in healthy dialogue to discuss work items and issues in team settings.
  • Passion for operational excellence, continuous improvement, and ongoing professional development.
  • Mandatory on-call evenings and weekend rotation

Responsibilities

  • Contributing member of an Application / Infrastructure Operations team developing end-to-end automation for software deployments in private and public cloud environments.
  • Configure and deploy new software; troubleshoot and resolve problems when they arise.
  • Create reusable, clean and high-quality code for tooling applications and deployment pipelines.
  • Maintain a continual focus on automation to accelerate delivery timelines and reduce complexity
  • Handle a variety of assignments and requests that come from various customers including development teams, infrastructure teams, datacenter, Helpdesk, and Software Support.
  • Part of a rotational team providing on-call 7x24 operational support for external and internal software products to increase availability and reliability while increasing speed to market.
  • Collaborate with teammates and product owners to groom backlogs of work for upcoming development sprints.
  • Stay abreast of the latest technological trends through individual and team training opportunities.
  • Other duties as required.
