Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in a related engineering occupation
  • Software simulation technologies and tools including Xcelium Logic Simulator
  • Emulation technologies and tools including Palladium and Protium Emulator for simulation acceleration and prototyping
  • Hardware Design Description Languages including Verilog, Very High-Speed Integrated Circuit Hardware Description Language (VHDL), and SystemC
  • Software development and engineering processes including software design, development, prototyping, and documentation
  • Software debug process and use of debug tools including Verilog language debugger, VHDL language debugger, and C/C++ language debugger

Responsibilities

  • Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs for multinational computational software company.
  • Analyze user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.
  • Develop high-quality code for hardware description language (HDL) language-based compiler and runtime for Cadence emulation technology.
  • Develop new code for new functions for the compiler and the runtime.
  • Enhance existing code for higher performance and better flexibility.
  • Analyze customer issues reported from the field application engineers.
  • Reproduce customer issues with test cases in Cadence’s internal environment.
  • Locate the cause in either user application or tools.
  • Develop test cases for Cadence emulation software and hardware tools.
  • Develop test cases to test the correctness of newly developed functions.
  • Develop test cases to measure the performance of newly developed functions.
  • Debug and fix existing emulation software tools.
  • Locate the bug in running stage of tools.
  • Fix the bug by modifying the related code.
