Requirements

  • Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field plus three years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering or a closely related field plus five years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
  • Experience designing and developing large-scale software applications using Object-Oriented Design and Java (2 year)
  • Experience designing and developing automated test frameworks for unit testing and integration testing (1 year)
  • Experience designing, developing and maintaining financial accounting and reconciliation software for large organization (2 years)
  • Experience supporting external financial software audits (1 year)
  • Experience building responsive, scalable front-end applications using technologies like JavaScript, HTML/CSS and React (1 year)
  • Experience with NOSQL and relational databases (1 year)
  • Eperience using Big Data storage solutions, demonstrating ability to design storage solutions, ETL workflows, performance tuning (3 years)
  • Knowledge about database design concepts like partitioning and replication
  • Experience being on-call for production support (1 year)
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Design solutions to help build or enhance eBay reconciliation products.
  • Drive and design the eBay reconciliation product (ARES) to ensure that eBay's payment systems comply with relevant compliance requirements and regulations.
  • Maintain existing eBay reconciliation products.
  • Monitor various metrics of ARES to ensure the system’s health and robustness.
  • Support and prioritize production for eBay reconciliation products.
  • Responsible for promptly and accurately responding to customer inquiries and prioritizing task.
  • Use numerous cross-functional domains such as eBay’s payment platform, big data platform, billing platform, tax platform, eBay’s underlying software requirements, and Product Development business schedules.
