About The Position

Northrop Grumman Space Systems Sector is looking for a Software Engineer to join their team in Aurora, CO. This role supports a special program with a scalable and expeditionary intelligence ground station that leverages various sensors to provide targetable data to commanders. The position involves working on an agile development team using modern practices for both new development and operational support. The campus offers programs in all phases of the development and operational lifecycle, utilizing micro-service event-driven architecture with Docker Containers and Kubernetes. Requirements

  • Level 2: Bachelor’s degree in science with 2+ years of software development experience; 0+ years with a Master's; or 4 additional years of relative experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Level 3: Bachelor’s degree in science with 5+ years of software development experience; 3+ years with a Master's; or 4 additional years of relative experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Current and active Top Secret/SCI security clearance required at time of application.
  • Experience designing, developing, and troubleshooting using object-oriented programming (Java).
  • Experience with Container Management (Dockers and Docker-Compose) and networking with containers.
  • Comfortable using git, including branching, merging, and resolving merge conflicts.
  • Experience in Spring, Vue, GIT, Agile, Elasticsearch, and Maven are also required.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required for all positions with a government clearance and certain other restricted positions.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with/using Agile Methodology and Continuous Integration (CI) / Continuous Deployment (CD) Tools (Jenkins, Gitlab) and Practices.
  • Experience with software system integration, testing, and deployment, including but not limited to automation.
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
