  • Active Secret Security Clearance and ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology from an accredited college or university.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, improve, and safeguard program-office and OEM processes and practices for software development, verification, and delivery.
  • Ensure OEM-delivered software meets safety, security, and operational objectives for long-term tactical, simulation, and mission-planning use.
  • Oversee technical governance, code audits, and verification of software systems throughout their lifecycle.
  • Review OEM-developed tactical software and applications, including operating systems, compilers, assemblers, file managers, graphics, simulations, structural analysis, data reduction, and network analysis applications.
  • Write production software and comprehensively review OEM source code, repository structures, and technical deliverables to ensure code health and security.
  • Provide technically sound advice and guidance on the viability of OEM system designs and concept developments.
  • May serve as a project leader or program manager for small- to medium-scale acquisition and modernization efforts.
  • Act as a primary technical contact for OEMs, contractors, and external sponsors.
  • Coordinate technical review activities involving multidisciplinary teams and support contractors.
  • Evaluate OEM engineering proposals, identify technical risks, and advise on technical compromises, engineering trade-offs, and development controversies.
  • Monitor program execution, track software-related schedules and costs, and present technical issues, OEM performance, and system readiness to senior management in written and oral formats.
  • Evaluate, support, or challenge proposals and CDRLs before senior review boards.
  • Resolve difficult integration challenges, establish engineering criteria, and conduct onsite technical audits.
