Requirements

Strong backend engineering fundamentals
5+ years of experience in Software Engineering
Experience building and operating production services in Java or similar backend stacks
Solid understanding of APIs, distributed systems, and service-to-service integration
Experience debugging production issues using logs, metrics, and traces
Ability to work across teams to drive delivery on multi-system efforts
Strong ownership, execution, and communication skills

Nice To Haves

Experience with platform or service migrations
Experience modernizing legacy systems without breaking downstream consumers
Familiarity with performance, reliability, and scalability concerns in high-traffic systems
Experience with rollout planning, backward compatibility, and risk mitigation
Exposure to ecommerce or transactional systems

Responsibilities

Build, maintain, and evolve backend services that support Offer/BIN experiences
Drive CATY migration work across service and dependency boundaries
Partner with adjacent teams on API evolution, integration changes, and rollout planning
Improve service reliability, observability, and operational readiness during migration
Identify and reduce technical debt that slows Offer modernization delivery
Support safe launches through testing, monitoring, and phased rollout practices
