Requirements
- 3+ years of professional backend software engineering experience developing backend or platform services
- Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot
- Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and microservices
- Working knowledge of identity and access management concepts, including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), SSO, and SCIM
- Experience with event-driven architectures using Kafka or similar messaging technologies
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
- Strong understanding of software engineering best practices, including testing, observability, and CI/CD
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
Nice To Haves
- Experience deploying and supporting applications in Kubernetes environments
- Experience integrating with Okta, Auth0, Ping Identity, or Keycloak
- Experience building enterprise SSO, SAML, or user provisioning solutions
- Familiarity with Terraform or Infrastructure as Code practices
- Experience with OpenTelemetry, Datadog, Grafana, or similar observability platforms
- Experience working in a SaaS product environment
- Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity
Responsibilities
- Design and build RESTful APIs and microservices that support internal and external platform capabilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services using Java and Python
- Build and enhance identity platform capabilities supporting OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), SSO, and SCIM-based provisioning
- Develop scalable event-driven services and integrations using Kafka
- Deploy, monitor, and optimize applications running in Kubernetes environments
- Partner with Product, Security, and Infrastructure teams to deliver secure, reliable, and high-performing platform services
- Participate in architecture discussions, technical design reviews, and engineering planning
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement durable solutions
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, observability practices, and engineering automation initiatives
- Leverage AI-powered development tools to improve productivity, quality, and delivery velocity
