About The Position

For over a century, the Workers' Compensation Insurance Rating Bureau of California (WCIRB) has been California's trusted, objective provider of actuarially based information and research, advisory pure premium rates and educational services integral to a healthy workers' compensation system. The WCIRB is a California unincorporated, private, nonprofit association comprised of all companies licensed to transact workers' compensation insurance in California. The operations of the WCIRB are funded primarily by membership fees and assessments; no state money is used to fund its operations. The WCIRB performs a number of functions to accurately measure the cost of providing workers' compensation benefits and ensure a healthy workers’ compensation system. Requirements

At least two years of paid experience as a software developer.
Knowledge of and experience with Microsoft .NET Core, ASP.NET, C#, and SQL Server or equivalent technologies.
Experience with the use of cloud computing platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) as an integral part of software design and delivery.
Familiarity with front-end development using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
The successful candidate will reside in California and will work from our headquarters in San Francisco at least 40% of the time.

Responsibilities

Collaborating with cross-functional team members, including solution architects, scrum masters, product owners, UX designers, and quality assurance engineers, to develop robust software solutions.
Writing code and conducting unit tests to ensure the high quality and functionality of software.
Participating actively in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to coding standards.
Deploying solutions following DevOps best practices.
Troubleshooting and debugging software and application issues promptly.
Providing technical support for software developed by oneself and others.
Develop and maintain software applications using .NET Core and Azure platform.
Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code following best practices.
Perform unit testing, integration testing, and system testing of software components.
Integrate third-party APIs and services into the application architecture.
Create comprehensive technical documentation.
Submit code for review to ensure quality, consistency, and compliance with established standards.
Debug and troubleshoot application issues, identify bottlenecks, and propose effective solutions.
