About The Position

The Software Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing software solutions to solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices. This role involves all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules. The engineer will also identify and troubleshoot application code-related issues, take an active role in code reviews to ensure solutions align with pre-defined architectural specifications, and assist with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows. Participation in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions is also a key part of the role.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering Computer Science, or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Computer Programmer, Software Developer, or related occupation.
  • Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering Computer Science, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Computer Programmer, Software Developer, or related occupation.
  • Software design and implementation, to provide C3-level insights.
  • Experience with front-end technologies, including Angular, React, Bootstrap, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
  • Experience with backend development using the Spring Framework, J2EE, and Apache Tomcat.
  • Experience building and integrating RESTful and SOAP web services.
  • Experience working with JSON and XML data formats.
  • Experience with both relational (SQL) and NoSQL databases.
  • Experience with version control using SVN and Git.
  • Experience with build automation tools such as Maven.
  • Experience with software testing methodologies, including unit testing with JUnit and Jest, and performance testing.
  • Experience implementing best practices in software development and design.
  • Experience utilizing the software development life cycle (SDLC) and various development methodologies.
  • Experience designing scalable, maintainable, and high-performing software solutions.
