About The Position
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will lead the delivery of scalable software solutions by managing feature implementation, testing, and ongoing support within collaborative teams. This role requires expertise in multiple programming languages and a strong focus on software lifecycle execution, including CI/CD and automated testing. You will integrate AI/ML components to enhance system intelligence and contribute to technical design and innovation. By partnering with cross-functional teams, you will ensure solutions meet business objectives and maintain high standards of quality, performance, and reliability throughout the development process. The team develops and maintains the Mobile platform (MyWalmart/AllSpark), delivering scalable, cloud-native solutions that support essential tools for Walmart associates worldwide. It emphasizes high availability, reliability, and innovation through advanced technical design and AI integration. By applying model-driven design and cloud engineering principles, the team ensures efficient delivery of impactful software. Collaboration with cross-functional partners aligns solutions with business goals and user needs. The group fosters technical excellence and continuous improvement across the software development lifecycle to empower associates globally with reliable and innovative tools.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in software development with proficiency in languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Java, Rust, Dart, and C++.
- Strong expertise in object-oriented programming, code review, debugging, and documentation-based coding practices.
- Proven ability to deliver scoped features and models through collaborative, iterative development and continuous integration.
- Experience integrating AI/ML components and leveraging generative AI tools to enhance development efficiency.
- Solid understanding of platform design, product strategy, and technical leadership in scalable, maintainable software solutions.
- Demonstrated skills in DevOps, automated testing, monitoring, and program performance management.
- Effective collaboration and communication skills to engage cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 3 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
- 5 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.

- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area and 1 year's experience in software engineering or related area.
- Background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly.

Responsibilities
- Own scoped feature and model delivery through collaborative engineering teams, managing implementation, iteration, testing, and support.
- Write efficient and reliable code using multiple languages and drive development lifecycle.
- Integrate AI and ML components to enhance software intelligence and leverage generative AI tools to improve development velocity.
- Assist in converting high-level designs into detailed, scalable, and maintainable solutions aligned with platform objectives.
- Conduct code reviews, debugging, and defect management to ensure software quality and performance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define technical requirements and measure solution success.
- Monitor application performance and maintain reliability through proactive testing and integration.
- Mentor peers, share knowledge, and promote best practices for continuous improvement.
