  • Working knowledge of networking concepts, including Ethernet, subnets, routing, firewalls, ports, DNS, and lab network isolation.
  • Ability to troubleshoot integration issues across software applications, Linux systems, containers, CI/CD pipelines, network services, and hardware-adjacent interfaces.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience integrating software with spacecraft payload hardware, hardware-in-the-loop systems, lab instrumentation, embedded systems, APIs, databases, or distributed services.
  • Experience supporting software systems integration, DevOps test infrastructure, engineering labs, or aerospace and defense hardware development environments.
  • Experience developing software tools that improve automated testing, engineering workflows, integration repeatability, and developer productivity.
  • Experience applying automation or AI-enabled tools to improve engineering efficiency, software quality, and test repeatability.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications, services, scripts, and automation frameworks supporting TIDES SSI and DOTI capabilities.
  • Build and enhance GitLab CI/CD pipelines, including automated builds, testing, packaging, deployment workflows, and runner-based execution.
  • Develop software interfaces and utilities connecting lab systems, test equipment, data services, payload hardware, APIs, and engineering workflows.
  • Deploy and configure containerized services using Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and related technologies.
  • Develop automated test suites, troubleshoot software defects, and improve code quality through peer review, static analysis, testing, and disciplined debugging.
  • Collaborate with systems, FPGA, electrical, hardware, and integration and test (I&T) engineers to translate engineering requirements into practical software solutions.
  • Investigate and resolve integration issues involving software, Linux systems, networks, containers, CI/CD pipelines, and hardware-in-the-loop test environments.
  • Create and maintain documentation for software designs, APIs, deployment procedures, automated test workflows, release notes, and user guidance.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve automation, reliability, repeatability, software quality, and developer productivity across shared test infrastructure.
