About The Position

Vantor is seeking a Software Engineer to join our project team developing application software. This role involves participating in requirements analysis and design, coding and maintaining software applications or sub-components, following established software development processes, and creating necessary process artifacts such as requirements documentation, design documentation, and test plans. The position requires testing applications and creating associated documentation.

Requirements

Must be U.S. Citizen and eligible for SECRET security clearance
BS in Computer Science or related discipline.
5 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
C++ programming experience.
Experience with Object Oriented software development theory and associated methodologies
Good understanding of coding methods and best practices

Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
Effective oral and written communication skills to include active listening

Responsibilities

Participate in the requirements analysis and design for software applications or sub-components.
Code or maintain software applications or sub-components from specifications.
Follow established software development process.
Create appropriate process artifacts including: requirements documentation, design documentation, and test plans.
Test applications as identified in the development methodology, and create necessary documentation.
