About The Position

Markon is seeking a skilled CNO Software Engineer to support the development of advanced cyber capabilities for mission-critical national security programs. This role focuses on designing and building software solutions that operate across complex systems and networks. The engineer will work in a collaborative environment to solve technical challenges and deliver impactful capabilities in support of customer missions.

Requirements

Active TS/SCI W/ Polygraph through this Customer
Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline and 14+ years of experience in software development/engineering, or High School diploma and 18+ years of experience
Experience with Python and/or C/C++ programming
Experience troubleshooting and debugging software systems
Understanding of software development principles and lifecycle

Nice To Haves

Experience analyzing user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements
Experience with software analysis or reverse engineering
Understanding of assembly programming concepts
Familiarity with CNO development concepts
Experience with unit testing frameworks and development best practices

Responsibilities

Design and develop hardware- and software-based CNO capabilities
Assist with the full software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, debugging, and documentation
Develop data queries for existing or proposed databases and data repositories
Apply knowledge of security concepts and network technologies in software development
Ensure adherence to software engineering standards and best practices
Troubleshoot and debug software systems and applications
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver mission-focused solutions
