About The Position

As a software engineer for the Space, Cyber, and Intelligence (SC&I) business area, you’ll be a member of a cross-functional team responsible for engineering Crypto and Cross Domain Solutions. This role involves research-oriented work alongside award-winning teams developing practical solutions for our nation’s security. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, or Engineering, Science, or Math, plus 1 year of relevant experience; or Master's degree.
  • Clear understanding of the software engineering concepts, principles, theories, software development process, and agile methodology.
  • Clear understanding of the software development process, with agile experience.
  • Ability to grasp and apply new information quickly and handle increasing responsibilities with growing complexity.
  • Team player who thrives in collaborative environments and revels in team success.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development for yourself and others.
  • Identifies opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation.

Nice To Haves

  • Software, Debugging, and Test experience.
  • Languages such as Rust, C, C++, Java, Python, C#.
  • Environments such as Linux, SELinux, Windows PowerShell.
  • Embedded environments such as Embedded Linux, RTOS, VxWorks, ESXi, YOCTOL.
  • Networking and Protocols such as IP, Ethernet, Cryptography, or Cross Domain Solutions (CDS).
  • Security expertise such as NSA High Assurance, Raise the Bar.
  • Debugging and Scripting such as Bash, Perl, sed, awk, Python.
