About The Position

This is a 12+ month contract position for a Software Engineer with an ACTIVE Secret Security Clearance and US Citizenship required. The role involves planning, conducting, and coordinating software development activities. The engineer will design, develop, document, test, and debug software that provides logical and mathematical solutions to business or mission problems. This includes applying appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development lifecycle, and utilizing knowledge of computer hardware, software, subject matter, information processing techniques, and user input to develop software. The role also involves correcting program errors, preparing operating instructions, documenting program development, and analyzing system capabilities to resolve issues related to program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls. The engineer will ensure software standards are met. Specifically, the Software Engineer will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining C++ code for secure processing applications, developing new applications, maintaining legacy code, maintaining and enhancing CI/CD pipelines, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring software solutions meet stringent security and performance standards.

Responsibilities

Plans, conducts, and coordinates software development activities.
Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment.
Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle.
Applies knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software.
Corrects program errors, prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls.
Ensures software standards are met.
Designing, developing, and maintaining C++ code for secure processing applications.
Developing new applications and maintaining legacy code utilized in other applications.
Maintaining and enhancing CI/CD pipelines to streamline development processes.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop, test, and deliver both prototype and fully capable systems.
Ensuring software solutions meet stringent security and performance standards.
