About The Position
Our client is a global leader in intelligent transportation systems that help improve traffic flow, road safety, and air quality around the world. With solutions spanning traffic management, tolling, and mobility platforms, and partners with transportation agencies and organizations across the globe to modernize infrastructure and solve complex mobility challenges. They are seeking a Software Engineer (contract to hire) to join its engineering team supporting next-generation traffic management and mobility platforms. This role will contribute across the software development lifecycle, including designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining software solutions used by transportation agencies and roadway operators. Engineers work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, reliable applications while supporting ongoing platform improvements and customer-facing initiatives. The ideal candidate enjoys solving complex technical problems, writing maintainable code, collaborating with teammates, and contributing to products that have real-world impact.
Requirements

- React
- TypeScript or modern JavaScript
- REST APIs
- SQL databases
- Git-based development workflows
- 3-7+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong object-oriented programming fundamentals
- Experience building and consuming APIs
- Experience working with relational databases
- Ability to independently solve problems and deliver features
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder
