About The Position

Concept Solutions, LLC (CS) is seeking a Software Engineer to support a mission-critical application modernization program for a Department of War (DoW) customer. The program aims to simplify access across production applications through unified sign-on, a common work surface, and a repeatable approach to integrating applications into a shared platform. The role supports the integration and sustainment of Java Spring Boot applications with a Pega-based status tracking system. The Software Engineer will help ensure seamless functionality while maintaining the reliability of existing applications. The position is remote and full-time, with a 40-hour Monday-through-Friday schedule and core hours from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Eastern. The team works in two-week sprints and holds a customer demonstration each sprint. Travel is 0–10% within the Washington, DC metropolitan area. U.S. citizenship is required, as is eligibility to obtain and maintain a security clearance; an active Secret clearance or higher is required.

Requirements

At least 4 years of experience developing and supporting Java applications using Spring Boot and REST integrations.
Hands-on experience integrating with or developing applications on the Pega platform.
Active Secret security clearance.
U.S. citizenship.

Nice To Haves

Experience with PostgreSQL.
Familiarity with Amazon ECS/Fargate.
Experience working within AWS GovCloud environments.

Responsibilities

Maintain the API gateway integration between a Java Spring Boot application and a Pega-based status tracker.
Troubleshoot and resolve defects across Java and Pega integration boundaries.
Identify, diagnose, and resolve application defects to ensure continued system functionality.
Apply software patches and updates in accordance with the customer's established release calendar.
Maintain accurate and current operational runbooks to support application sustainment.
