JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking Software Engineers to develop production-grade microservices, manage dependencies, and enable distributed tracing. This role involves leading Domain-Driven Design (DDD) to transform monoliths into event-driven microservices, building RESTful APIs, implementing circuit breakers, and producing OpenAPI documentation. Responsibilities include designing and optimizing normalized schemas, execution plan analysis, table partitioning, indexing, and authoring SQL and PL/SQL stored procedures for Terabyte-scale, high-concurrency enterprise databases. The engineer will architect event-driven systems, develop and maintain UIs, build reusable, responsive components, and integrate frontends with backend microservices APIs. Planning and executing migrations from monolith to microservices, creating stored procedures and RESTful APIs for migration, and writing scripts to bulk-migrate records with data validation and error handling are key tasks. The role also involves building CI/CD pipelines with automated testing, SonarQube quality gates, security scanning, and blue-green deployments. Orchestrating Kubernetes with HPA, resource quotas, Helm charts, and infrastructure-as-code to lower deployment costs and MTTR is expected. Implementing observability, adding distributed tracing, and configuring custom dashboards and alerts for proactive incident management are also part of the duties. The engineer will produce technical design artifacts, system architecture, sequence, activity, and data flow diagrams, and design database schemas and entity relationships for enterprise applications.
