About The Position

The Software Engineer will join KLA’s e-Beam division, which develops high-resolution inspection systems that help semiconductor manufacturers identify wafer defects and take action to improve manufacturing processes. The role contributes to software for semiconductor inspection and review tools, using software expertise to solve complex physics and computing problems and support next-generation CPUs, GPUs, and deep-learning engines.

The position focuses on designing distributed applications and high-performance computing solutions, making effective use of system resources, and defining data classes for efficient processing. The role is part of a software team within KLA’s Global Products Group, which develops metrology and inspection products.

Requirements

• Proficiency in C++ programming.
• Experience working with the Linux operating system.
• Use of object-oriented principles for software design.
• High-performance computing experience or coursework.
• Understanding of network stacks.
• A master's degree with 0 years of related work experience, or a bachelor's degree with 2 years of related work experience.

Nice To Haves

• Exposure to workload management software.
• Experience with containers and Docker for packaging software services.
• Passion for physics.
